Ben Case: Canes Looking to Best Kings after Blowing Late Lead Against Ducks The Canes broke out of their recent offensive woes last night against the Ducks—11 different players tallied a point last night. It was great to see them score more than three goals on the road for the first time since the season opening 6-game road trip. In the past 11 games prior to last night, they have only scored three goals in three games. To say the least, the team has been going through a bit of an offensive drought until last night.

Given that your nickname is the Hurricanes, I'd imagine blowing is 2nd nature, among other things air/wind related.

I image that I would not go with Ward coming off a 5 goal game. Shutout, or 1 goal win sure, even a game he gave up two and won then ok, but not a game with 5 GA and a loss.

Leighton should get the start!

While he did let in 5 goals, pretty much 4 were unstoppable on his accord. I'd like to see better rebound control, however, he made some critical saves when the Canes disappeared. They literally were letting Ducks walk right in uncontested and fire shots in the third and OT.

I agree though, they need to keep Ward rested and Leighton looks capable as a back-up so far.

We were forever robbed of something glorious when he never signed with New Jersey.

Look at that, we got our offense from Ryan and McGinn. Ryan looked great on those plays. Never would have thought those 2 were the ones who would be beat the Kings.

He sold to soul to Satan for a .920 save percentage.

Didn't think I'd ever see the day where his stats were almost Identical to those of Braden Holtby.

Take solace in the fact that it likely will not last.

(though I hope it does)
